Retrenchment Benefit Insurance
I am a Woolworths customer for the past 12 years. During the course of this period Woolworths offered the Retrenchment Benefit Insurance product to me to cover premiums in the event of retrenchment. I accepted their offer. On 30 April 2015 I was retrenched, and I advised Woolworths of the change in my employment status the beginning of May. I requested that my Retrenchment Benefit Insurance which I have loyally paid over the 12 years to be put in place to cover my monthly premiums. They requested certain documentation which I have provided to them on numerous occasions. Later on I was contacted by Nationwide Recover as my account was handed over for collection. Again I gave them the same information as given to Woolworths the beginning of May. To date I have heard nothing from Woolworths and my Retrenchment Benefit Insurance is still not covering my monthly premiums - how is this possible at all as I have paid for this protection over a long period. All communications was done via email and I have kept all emails as proof of communication, but now I am in a state of desperation to get this sorted out. Your assistance in this regard is appreciated.

(Supplier name changed from Woolworths Insurance to Woolworths South Africa by Hellopeter.com)
