Racial Profiling by Security Guards In-Store

Visited Woolworths Food at Verdi Shopping Centre, Risidale, on 08 June 2026 around 12 midday and was followed by a security guard to every single aisle from the moment I walked in until I reached the paypoint. I was the only Black customer on the floor — I checked. No one else was being followed.

This is racial profiling, plain and simple. I have shopped at Woolworths for years precisely because I felt treated like a customer, not a suspect. That trust is gone.

Formal complaint submitted. Awaiting a response from Woolworths before deciding on further escalation. Other customers deserve to know this is happening.
