Racial Profiling

I experienced negative customer service on Sept 14 at Sunridge Village Port Elizabeth Woolworths Food regarding a gift card my mother purchased for me and sent me a picture with the gift card number, Cvv and receipt next to it as she is in a different city as me. I had put all the things in the trolley that amounted to the gift card amount and when I got to the till the teller advised that they could do a gift card exchange since they need to swipe the card in order for the gift card to be redeemed. She then called the manager to assist and as the manager came and heard the story she refused to assist and basically insinuated that I stole the gift card but had told me that they had assisted someone with the same issue earlier on in the day and she needed to protect the company. I left the store with my tail between my legs as the items were already in the bag. I later went to Woolworths Food in Lorraine Port Elizabeth which I explained the same issue and I was attend to by very understanding and helpful representatives and they did the gift card exchange and I was able to purchase the items I wanted. The manager at Lorraine Woolworths gave me such good customer service and would gladly go back but as for Woolworths Sunridge Village Port Elizabeth I would not recommend people of colour to go there because of the racial profiling I experienced.
