Quality of buckles on the mule sandals

Hi, I recieved sandals from Woolworths last Nov 23, i dont have the gift receipt anymore. However given the price of the sandals, shouldn't it last more than 10 months, especially if it's not been used in the winter months. So disappointed. Is there anything that can be done about this? Both buckles broke.
