Putting security tag through shoes = hole in shoe???!!

<p>I went to Woollies @ Menlyn to buy shoes - to my surprise they put the metal security tag through the shoes.</p> <p>Obviously it makes a hole, and obviously this is the first place the shoe will tear.</p> <p>How do they expect people to pay R300 for a pair of shoes with a hole in them?</p>
