Protective wear for babies

I when to the Woolworths Menlyn and was informed that I could not enter the store as my 13 month old didn’t have a face mask on. According to the world health org children under the age of 2 years old cannot wear a face mask as their airways are still to narrow and it can lead to suffocating. After explaining this the the security as well as the store manager I still couldn’t enter the store to purchase summer clothing for him. I have nowhere to leaving him to be able to go to the store and no family in Pta, so would it be better for me to put a face mask on him and hope that he doesn’t suffocate just so I can try to get him some clothing. Babies can tell you that they cannot breath! Try educating yourselves on the face that’s babies cannot wear ppe.
