Promotion/Sale on rotten items unacceptable

Been a loyal & great customer of this brand Woolworths brand when it comes to good quality foods especially their fruits and vegetables.

On the 6th of August 2018 at the Parktown Woolworths shop inside Engen convenient store I bought Nectarines which were on "sale/promotion". At R56.99 with R19.95 off as the so called promotion, thought to myself that its a "great deal" until I get home few minutes later.

When I open the pack of 4 Nectarines, only to find that one is totally rotten. It immediately hit me that there was no "sale/promotion". I basically paid R37.04 for three (3) nectarines which is no long a great deal after all.

Posted the same evening on twitter & someone on inbox got back to me the following day asked for more inform(my name, contact details, etc.) who advised that they "raised it with the food team" on REF: ********** 07- ********** 66 that someone will be in touch with feedback.

Day passed, I again followed up with Woolworths twitter account which again told me that they are still "waiting" and someone will be in touch with me.

Two weeks later still nothing

I have lost all the love & loyalty I had for this Woolworths brand to say the least, even shoprite will contact you was quicker than this.

This is saddening to me as a customer that its great when we spend our money in shops for years and one mere concern you never get any response or feedback for the below standard service one raised it with the company

Maybe this proves that one should spend their money were its valued
