PRICING MISCOMMUNICATION

Good day,

Entered Woolworths in The Glen Shopping Centre today. I saw the 125g HC Rosemary crisps on promotion for only R4.95, as per ticketing communication. When I landed at the till, I was told that it was R18.99.

I asked Tholakele (Supervisor i think) and Mbali (Cashier) what the way forward would be and they both insisted to stick to the scanning price of R18.99. Apparently a batch of them were placed in the wrong place, s per Tholakele.

I'd just like to know what was the right way to handle this ? As I've encountered a few of these at Woolworths Sandton and always end up paying the marked price or get the item free.

Please advise?
