Poor Service

The service at the Vredenburg branch on the West Coast leaves much to be desired, lits of training is required and it has become an agonizing experience to shop there. Often you hear the staff having vulgar personal conversations among themselves within earshot of customers, no one greets or acknowledges you unless you are at the tillpoint and many times I have bought fruit that was off or nothing near Woolies standards. On Monday 27 Sept 2021, I went to teller( cashier: Simons V Simons). Firstly, we stood in line for a few minutes and it was unattended. Eventually I walked around and 2 ladies were in the clothing isle. She asked for my loyalty card and then offered a plastic shopping back, to which I declined and took out my own Reusable, recycable canvas bags. It was only 4 items, and she helped me pack the items into the bag. When I got home, I found a can in a woolies plastic bag and a charge of 80c on my till slip. Needless to say, I was furious. I spend every single day picking ip plastic on our beaches where I live, I do not use plastic at all and then after I declined a bag, she decided to use one at my expense. And besides that. Throughout out interaction, I conversed in English, yet she continued to respond to me in Afrikaans. What kind of training if any, is happening at this particular branch? I know of many loyal woolies customers who have either stopped going there and will drive all the way to the Langebaan branch. I have reached the point where I simply do not even want to go there anymore.
