Poor quality Shoes
<p>For the last 2 years my wife has been complaining about the poor quality of shoes at Woolworths that seem to last no longer than 3 months and ladies are generally not that hard on shoes and I always thought this to be an excuse for new shoes.</p> <p> </p> <p>I recently purchased a pair of what i assumed to be top quality leather shoes from the premium selection / range in Woolworths and I must be honest what a great pair of shoes, comfy and really what appeared to be great quality.</p> <p> </p> <p>One day in our boardroom during an executive meeting I look down at my shoe sitting with one leg on the other and the LEATHER HAS TORN ALL THE WAY along the stitching of the one shoe......</p> <p> </p> <p>Extremely disappointed and with my wife's consistent moaning about the quality of Woolworths shoes ringing loud in my ear I decide to take the Shoes back to customer care in (Woolworths Somerset Mall) something i would never think of doing if i felt I had reasonable or fair wear and tear as lets face it shoes are subject to opinion and different people would have different wear and tear BUT I honestly felt this was a manufacturing fault the shoes had not lived up to expectations.</p> <p> </p> <p>I returned the shoes the next day and was told they must be sent to a technical centre for evaluation, I would receive an SMS and someone will contact me.........</p> <p> </p> <p>Needless to say none of which happened and I hold little or no faith of getting any feedback a month later.</p> <p> </p> <p>What has happened to Woolworths ?? a Store we pride ourselves in shopping at, a store that I felt genuinely prided its self on customer service??</p> <p> </p> <p>What I take from this is that the QUALITY of Woolworths products is really dropping fast as they possibly try and be price competitive with Chinese products creeping into our stores at a rapid rate and hence the increase in customer complaints and now the LACK of real customer service and satisfaction.</p> <p> </p> <p>If you or your wife are in the market for shoes maybe Woolworths is not the best place to shop.</p> <p> </p> <p>Hope this review saves you money on your next pair of shoes NOT from Woolworths!!</p> <p> </p> <p>Gary</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
