Poor quality fruit

My wife insists on shopping at Woolworths and is quite prepared to pay the premium for quality. The last two times she has bought the Clemengold box of citrus for me several have been mouldy a day after buying (when the box was unpacked) and 6 days before the sell by date. Quality is not happening here! PS we have just driven 3hrs to a weekend away, no chance to go and complain at the store!
