Poor quality

I bought two pairs of shoes from Woolies, same style different colours. One pair start peeling and when I took it to Woolworths I was told they can't help because I bought the shoes more than Six months ago. I don't understand what does quality have to do with Six months. I paid R399 for each pair and now I can't use one. The manager even told me that they are peeling because I wasn't using them often. Haibo isn't that suppose to preserve them and make them last me longer? Why should I buy Woolworths expensive shoes if their quality is only guaranteed for six months only
