Poor poor assistance

I purchased a gift card at Woolworths Southgate. I have lost the gift card and don't have either the gift card number or till slip. I tried to ask if they can retrieve the gift card for me as I have the proof of purchase and date of purchase on my bank statement but they say I cannot be helped. I don't understand why they can't trace the transaction for me. I am ****** of my money as I am told to just forfeit my money- the customer care and branch manager are just not willing to help. Soo disappointed in woolworths!!
