please help

I app**** for a credit card at woolworths got approved for R11000 and was told to send the documents for verification and in the process a contract was generated .To my suprise when i called on monday 19/09/22 i was told the application has been withdrawn ,no one even bothered to let me know i hd to call myself and on tuesday they offered me a store card for R14000 and was told to bring an id when i go to collect the card ,the lady i spoke to said i failed at the verification process and my question is why cant one go collect the credit card at the store as they can see its
