Plastic encased within chicken fillet

The customer purchased chicken strips from Woolworths (South Africa) on 06/08/2019. Upon consuming the product, the customer bit into a solid foreign body, which was encased within the center of the chicken breast/strip. Upon examining the foreign body it was ascertained that the foreign body was actually a thick piece of green plastic which seemed to resemble a piece of equipment or tag of some sort. These observations where pointed out to management and photographic evidence was taken and retained in the presence of management. Furthermore, it was emphasized that this foreign body could pose a choking hazard especially for the elderly and children; management assured that the said stock of chicken would be investigated. To date hereof, the writer hereof has not been afforded with the courtesy of a response regarding the status or outcome of the investigations. This was rather disconcerting given the fact that the consumer has been a loyal customer of Woolworths for many years.
