Plastic bags have become so thin they are useless

Yesterday 29 September I bought some items and bought a plastic bag in which to carry these items to the car. The bag was exceptionally thin and even before I reached the car the bag tore open and all my purchases rolled on the pavement. When the law came in that we had to purchase these bags, I remember they had to be of a certain strength so that they could be reused. They have now become so thin that they do no even allow the initial purchases to reach the car!!!
