Plastic bag

Woolworths Brackenhurst. What a ******* experience with what can only be called ******ion. I’m all for saving the environment and cutting back on plastic bags, however without any signage on entry, Woolworths chose to allow me to complete my shopping put all my groceries through the till point to tell me that my 2 options are as follows: either I carry my groceries in my hands or pay them a further R35 per bag as they don’t sell plastic bags anymore. On consulting a lady who said I can speak to her as a manager (no customer etiquette to speak of) simply told me that Woolworths told everyone that they would not be selling bags (my bad I missed the memo) she could not even comprehend for one minute the idea of putting a sign up warning customers. Shame on you Woolworths you are quite happy charging exclusive prices and then laughing all the way to the bank ripping another R35 per bag from unsuspecting customers while holding the ‘save the planet’ banner. “Many thanks”
