PATHETIC SERVICE
Good evening
I received a pair of school shoes as a gift from my mother in law for my daughter and upon receiving it, I discovered it was a size 10 and a size 11. I then informed her and she advised that I go and exchange the shoes for the correct size and check both feet.
The shoes was on sale at the time that she bought it and she bought it from Woolworths Promenade. I then went to the Promenade store and chose a size 10, checking that both feet are correct and proceeded to customer services, just to be told that the item is no longer on sale and that I have to pay in the difference.
Very upset, I walked away and said thank you but I can’t afford it as it was gifted to me.
Now bear in mind, hearing all my life that WOOLWORTHS is the best and it only provides quality and great service, I was in shock, because I never received that. Here I am, thinking that “WOOLWORTHS” is the “Kardashians” of food and clothing stores and then just to be let down like that, it was pathetic.
So I tried again on Saturday(12.12.20) and went to Kenilworth Centre’s Woolworths, thinking I am definitely going to be helped at this store. I live in Mitchells Plain and so I drove petrol out, wasting my time and just to be disappointed once again.
Got to customer service once again with a size 11, checking that both feet are correct and only to be told that they cannot exchange two wrong sizes at their store, and so I needed to purchase the pair of school shoes at KC and then head to Promenade to exchange the wrong pair and be refunded.
This just p…. me off. I expected the service that everyone else always raves about, I expected to be served, but I did not receive that at all. I wasted my petrol money, I wasted my time, clearly WOOLWORTHS is not as GREAT as everyone else makes them out to be.
