Pathetic customer service received
On the 3rd of July 2020, I was looking to purchase Pampers Premium nappies size 5 and your website indicated that the price was R169. 99 for a pack of 44 nappies. I went into the Midlands Mall branch were I was told that they do not have size 5. I then proceeded to contact the Cascades branch to confirm availability and the price.
The service that I received was pathetic to say the least. The first call was answered and I put through my query to which the response was to wait she will get someone on the floor to assist me, I was put on hold for 6-8 minutes after which the call was disconnected. This occurred 3 times after which I called back the 4th time requesting to speak to a manager. I was informed that the manager is unavailable but they will return my call within the next 5 minutes. I received a call 10-15 minutes later not from the manager but instead from the lady that answered the phone all 4 times. She still had not gotten the information that I requested and I was put on hold once again. She then proceeded to tell me that the price is R299. 99. I queried about the price being different from the online advertised price and was then informed that each store has their own prices and she can not answer for the online price.
I know for a fact that there is always a Manger on duty at woolworths yet I was unable to obtain assistance from one. For a store that prides themself on superior quality service, the service received was absolutely appalling.
I was looking to purchase 4 packs of the nappies, and while it might seem to be an insignificant amount in comparison to what woolworths GP is on a monthly basis, word of mouth resulting from poor service received does have a ripple effect.
I have emailed Woolworths head office with this complaint on Monday morning (20th July) and I have not received any response from them.
