PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE

I placed a CHRISTMAS GIFT order on 20/12/2017 . At the time of placing the order , Woolworths did not indicate that any of the items were out of stock. Upon returning from holiday today , 12 January 2018, my mother informs me that 3 of the 5 items were not received at all. So, my mother received two tubs of fresh fruit as a Christmas gift valued at R60 ! Would the Woolworths CEO deem this as acceptable for his/her mother/father? The final insult is then to still levy the delivery charge of R50 for delivering an incomplete order of 2 tubs of fruit!

Why were the three unavailable dry goods (different types of short bread) not picked on the day of the order to be added to the fresh fruit , which one hopes would only be picked on the day of the delivery? If this was done, I should have been notified on the day of the order that the shortbread was unavailable, so I could change the order.

This is a PATHETIC customer experience.

The Woolworths call centre also needs to understand that customers do not complain to get something for free. I complain so Woolworths can fix their procedures to avoid this happening again to another customer who relies on them to spoil a loved one with a hand-delivered Christmas gift. The damage is done. My mother received an insulting present of 2 tubs of fresh fruit for Christmas.
