Parcel delivered to incorrect address - no it is missing and Woolworths isn't getting back to me
After placing an order online on Friday 18 July, I realised that the address was wrong. Two of my addresses got mixed up, so the street address was correct, but the town and area code was wrong (Hoedspruit address correct, but said Klerksdorp as delivery town). I phoned the Customer Care centre on Saturday, and also send a follow up email to change the address. On Monday I received a confirmatioon email that my order has been processed, but the address was still wrong. I phoned again, and was assured it was updated, and that the email is just displaying wrong. Later I got a message saying my parcel was delivered. I went to the Postnet where it was delivered on Teusday, but there was no parcel. After going back on Wednesday, I phoned the call centre which send me a receipt note that my parcel was delivered - but to my horror, it was delivered to the wrong address!!! Not only does the address not exists (as there is no such an address in Klerksdorp) but I have no idea who the person is who signed for my parcel. I phoned again and was assured that the warehouse would get back to me but this did not happen. I am now very worried and quite upset by Woolworths who failed to change the address but then delivered an order worth R1499.00 to the wrong person, without me having any way of knowing where they delivered this too. The online shopping experience has been horrific and the customer service even worse. Would love to know what happens next as the Customer care centre was of no help so far.
