Paid up letter not submitted to credit bureau

Good day. I have had an account with Woolworth for few years now. At some point I was unable to pay for it and it ended up listed as a default. I then paid the whole account in September 2014. After numerous attempts to have the default removed from my name I'm sad to say I found out yesterday that I'm unsuccessful in this venture. I have called, been sent the paid up letter, been pushed from pillar to post waiting for someone to help and still nothing. I cant even apply for credit because of a debt that has been paid. When I could not pay you hounded me, now that I've p[aid I'm being avoided like a plaque. No one is willing to help me. This is disturbing please do something.
