******* OVERCHARGING ON SALE ITEMS FOR THE LAST SEVEN YEARS AND NOTHING DONE ABOUT IT
I am writing to complain about the ongoing problems regarding the ringing up of sale items at your shops all over Cape Town for THE LAST SEVEN YEARS (AT LEAST). If I pick an item that is marked at a sale price on the shelf, that is the price I expect to be charged at the till but how often is that not the case. It is so bad that I have to photograph EACH SALE ITEM and then carefully monitor the the screen at the till to make sure I am being charged correctly. If your company marks an item on sale at a certain price you are legally obligated to to charge me that amount and more, we have a sales contract. If you make a mistake it is just that, a mistake it is just that a mistake. If it is continually happening for at least the last seven years maybe it is ******** if it can be proven that it is deliberate or even that you have been negligent as you have had several warnings of this practice down the year. HOW MUCH MONEY HAVE YOU SHORT CHANGED YOUR CUSTOMERS OVER THE YEARS? Furthermore, if I am collecting evidence to register a case with the National Consumer Commission (I have already been to the consumer ombudsman) and I feel compelled to take a picture of the manager I don't expect that representative of your franchise to freak out and start shouting at me because she feels her privacy is being invaded. She represents Woolworths and she is at work and what evidence do I have of your wrongdoing if the invoice is corrected? She is obligated to answer to the customer if you have broken the law and she can expect no "privacy" in such circumstances which is EXACTLY why she is wearing a name tag. If you company could only fix this error after seven years of asking we could all go about our business in peace but you simply haven't been able to sort your affairs out and I will see what I can force through the legal system.
