Order Commitment not honoured by Woolworths

I am a loyal Woolworths customer who visits the Sandridge and/or Blue Hills branch at least twice and more a week without fail. However I have been disappointed by the service recieved from Woolworths lately and feel inconvenienced by their failure to honour the promise

I made an online purchase of the Tomato & Herb mix as per the special that was advertised on 12 Apr’21. The purchases were done for myself and my sister under the below mentioned Ref numbers O*** O***

At the time of placing order a friend was at another branch and offered to buy the items for me but I declined offer as I had already received confirmation for my online order.

On the 13 April my sister drove all the way from her home to the store to collect the order from Cilli Lane and was told that they out of stock and will refund the person who paid

The next day I was due to go and collect my order. As I was preparing to leave my house to the store to collect the order, I received a call from the branch that they are out of stock. I was so upset because the opportunity that was offered by a friend who was at the store the day I made an online purchase was now missed

My question is why is Woolworths not using systems that can give an accurate inventory count. Because on reading somewhere it seems like this is the story of their life

The lady from Chilli lane as busy offered me a substitute product but at normal price and told me that there is nothing that she could do. Where on earth am I supposed to get the money to buy the substitute product if they are still keeping my money as I have not been refunded

I feel that if Woolworths makes a commitment to the customer by means of an order number, they should have a decency to offer rain check which other retail stores offer for the inconvenienced caused

I am extremely unhappy and hoping to her from them soon
