Opening closed accounts without contsent

I am totally disgusted at the pathetic *********** staff that you have at your Blue Route store. I returned a pair of shoes that were bought cash and requested for a refund and the funds to be paid onto my account as a payment. Today i get a call from *** asking me when i am going to pay my overdue account?

This morning I checked my statement and saw i had a R187.47 amount overdue for the payment due 11 March 2021 and i immediately made a R200 payment.

At the time i didn't realise that the payment was overdue and not outstanding for the statement date.

I have taken Woolworths consultant advice and used Experian to generate my credit report.

So based on their report, the "missed payment" is still showing. As mentioned by Nazeema from the Blue Route store, the return was supposed to be used as a payment and not a credit. There in resulting in me having a missed payment. I can't see it was fixed by looking at the graph.

There is a bigger problem at hand now of which i am seeking legal council and will be taking it further to the Consumer Protection Unit because surely there are laws in this country against institutions opening accounts for people without their knowledge or consent. In February 2021 i decided to CLOSE my Woolworths account based on the lack of service i received with the above matter and I then paid the outstanding amount on the account and then got my paid up letter and went on with my life.

Recently i started getting calls from debt collecting companies talking about payments outstanding for Woolworths. Looking at the attached report i see there is an outstanding amount and when i called your call centre i was advised it was an online purchase that was never processed timeously and this has now resulted in me having a Woolworths account opened in my name without my consent. There is a balance outstanding eventhough i had paid up the account and got a paid up letter.

I don't have time for this incompetence that is now again trying to cause me financial stability issues.

I do not have a Woolworths account, it was closed. I do not owe Woolworths anything because i paid up an outstanding amount as reiterated on numerous occasions in store and when i contacted your Call Centre.

As reference i have attached the extract from my Experian Report for the Woolwoths account and my PAID UP letter proving that i have no balance with Woolworths and no longer have an active account.
