Only Capitec cards acceptable for lay by????

I visited Woolworths and wanted to pay the balance of the lay by I did few weeks ago. I was told that their system does not accept credit cards as a payment method and I should try the debit card which did not work as well. Apparently only Capitec bank cards can be used to pay for lay by. Not everyone is a Capitec customer and not everyone goes around carrying a lot of cash obviously for our own safety. I found it very strange and disappointing for a huge retail store like Woolworths to be sending around clients to make cash withdrawals or to choose which bank accounts we must use in order to use their lay by system. Why offer the service if it has such terms and conditions of if it only accepts certain bank cards? Please update your systems and stop frustrating us.
