Not assisted because the goods were bought by my late husband

Good day

Today I went at Woolworths Plettenberg Bay to exchange the goods that was bought by my late husband unfortunately I was not assisted because I don't know which store these goods were bought however the clothes still got tags on and still new not even worn, how is that even possible because 1 of the Woolworth policy is they will gladly take the goods back if you don't have a slip besides that I just lost a husband and kids and they can't refund. I want the matter to be resolved or I will take legal action.
