Non-caring Woolies disappoints Big Time.
Went for lunch at the Woolworths Café - Gift Acres Pretoria on Sunday 1 April 2018. My wife had the chicken schnitzel. About 3 hours later she became quite ill. Went back on Monday to complain and was told by the "stand in manager" that this could not have happened as a result of their food, because this has never happened before. Next day received a call from Nathi, the actual manager. A 15 minute monologue followed about how this couldn't really have happened. I was promised a call back at 17:00 - same day - did not transpire. Next morning Nathi phoned again & told me some big shot from head office would phone me to map out the way forward - still awaiting that call. Totally frustrated by the lack of response from Woolies, I phoned the National Customer Care Line on Wednesday 4 April. I was promised by the consultant that this matter would be escalated and that he would send an email with the reference number for my complaint. Today is Friday and I'm still waiting. What I really find disappointing in this whole saga is that nobody at Woolies has had the courage to say "We are sorry this has happened". Maybe sorry does not fall into their vocabulary. As a "so-called valued customer" of long-standing of Woolies, I really did not expect this type of "Don't Care Attitude"
