no sale returns!

We live in Stanger and came to the King Shaka airport to receive a family member. We enquired on whether we could return our sale items at the store, by a lady wearing a W name badge. We showed her our items and proceeded to join the queue. When we got to the tills we were told that we can not return our items. When I told the cashiers that a lady with a name badge said we could return the items and they asked me if that person was a manager? I'm sorry how would I know that? By now there was a queue that built up. After my husband moaned at the inconvenience and embarassment then Kurt who appeared to be part of management made an attempt at returning our items. Long end short we still left the store with our goods after the embarassment. Its not fair to impose your internal issues on us as consumers. I should be able to return my purchases at any Woolworths. Also put a sign up to say that this store does not return sale items.
