No Communication

while I often buy my food at Woolworths and have never been disappointed and their under ware is really great, I got a few really nice summer dresses and am generally pleased with Woolworth, however I am sad to say that the accounts ( card application) department is really bad . So I have app**** for an instore card seeing as I shop there on a regular basis, but I was turned down. I then went to look at my credit score with Transunion, Experian and clear score of which all was excellent, as well as affordability was very possible. I then called them and I was told that I had had/app**** for a gold credit card in 2006 and that there was a zero balance on it and it was not taken off the system. I was told it would go to the underwriter and that all will be sorted in a day or 2. Needless to say I had to call back only to be told that I in fact had been handed over in 2006 for non payment. I was also told that I was offered a 60% discount back then, this is not true. I was not even aware of this (I can not recall having this card but I do not dispute that I may of as I was sequestrated at that time.) so they gave me the collections companies details ( never heard of them before- Nimle) I called Nimble who told me I had a huge amount that was handed over (again I never received any correspondence from Woolworths nor from Nimble) and said that the account was given back to Woolworths, So my questions are 1. why can either one not supply me with proof of this account, where it was opened, the details that was used, purchased that were made. 2 This is prescribed debt if this is the case, why then does Woolworths hold it against me. 3. I was sequestrated at this time. 4 can one sell prescribed debt to collection companies. we have all been through times, honestly, if this was my account then I would like to have it taken off the system as prescribed, off any itc listing and I would like to see where all the correspondence for this to me was.
