Nelly Woolworths Eastgate café

Yesterday morning my sister and my nephew went to have breakfast at Woolworths Eastgate cafè, we got an amazing service from our waiter. I ordered a cappuccino with a slice of carrot cake and ordered pancakes for my nephew and juice. First of all that didn’t taste anything close to a carrot cake, the dough tasted uncooked wet and they used a cheese cake cream as frosting I bake so I know very well what I’m talking about!! The pancake we ordered looked like a scone and out of shape the child didn’t even eat that. When we complained to Nelly the café manager she had no sympathy whatsoever for the complaint we brought forth she went on being defensive about the ingredients or mix’s they use in all she didn’t make the experience better for us instead we felt she was being classist and undermined us cause her body language when she dealt with us was different to the other Caucasian lady she was assisting. We left not happy clients we paid and left the pancakes were not even touched by my nephew he instead ate the ugly carrot/cheese cake that I couldn’t eat. The cheese cake cream was too thick and hard and she didn’t care!!! I shop at the Woolworths bakery section every week I know how a carrot cake needs to taste like and that wasn’t it. From the bite I had and that being the only thing I had yesterday I have a terrible running stomach as a result of that unwell baked cake so as my nephew…….
