Needle in rump steak

Purchased beef rump steak and decided to cook for the family tonight. Marinated the meat and cooked it. When serving discovered there was a thick needle in the meat. A whole needle. This was discovered when my sister bit into the meat and the sharp needle hit her gum amd sc****d her. This is so unaccepta le. Where was the quality control. How did a needle get in the meat ? There is a thick substance in the centre of the needle even. I need an explanation quickly!
