My experience at the cellphone counter

Went to get tablets and a cellphone for my kids on Sunday afternoon around 13h00. When we got there, there were 3 assistants at the counter, with 2 till points but only the one was working and she was busy with a customer. We waited for quite a while while the other was busy on her cellphone, not sure if she was on facebook or what. The busy assistant then requested her to assist us which she did, but what amazed me was she kept on typing on her cellphone while assisting us. We eventually, after 30 minutes of waiting for her typing on the till point and on her cellphone, were told we could not buy the phones as the ID we had brought along was of a 17 year old. What appalling and poor service, could they not have told us that when we handed over the ID, do they not know that as people who work at that counter daily? Did we really have to go through the charades of the assistant, for a minute or two, responding to her private emails on her phone while assisting us.?
