Most horrific wait in an unprofessional and ********* environment boils down to NOTHING!
I've recently visited the Musgrave Branch Woolworth's on Sunday the 31st of December 2017, to my surprise the store was quite and perfect to shop around, i therefore realized that i did not carry my Woolworth's store card on me and i was told by a store assistant to that i should go to Customer Service, it took me some time to find where it was located as the assistant was not sure where i should go to and directed me verbally, there was no line in the department i waited for assistance as there was nobody present at the cashiers, a gentlemen came to my assistance asking me what the problem was , after explaining the simple question as to whether or not i could make a purchase without my card , i was told i needed to present my proof of identification of which i did state i have my licence in the car, with my 6 month old baby and my 6 year old i was then told to fetch it, i went to the vehicle got it as instructed and came back, i was then put on the phone for verification of which i was told to hold on for an extra 15 minutes the lady over the phone was helpful and advised that i could make a purchase after speaking to the store manager and giving a sequence number, i was then done with the phone call, and was told to wait for the store manager, after waiting an additional 15 minutes upon his arrival, a women by the name of Fikile Chiliza took the seat behind the computer with absolutely no introduction or greeting she was on her cellphone the entire time to my assumption she was a trainee on lunch break, upon the arrival of the manager Yogan Sathia he had he will allow it and i can commence with the purchase, my kids were uncomfortable as 3 of us sitting in one chair for now over 45 minutes, after a few minutes the lady Fikile Chiliza speaks to the cashier in zulu and i was told to hold on , she had been having a conversation about me to the cashier and her outcome was NO SORRY WE CAN'T, to my confusion i introduced myself and simply asked why, she then stated she is the supervisor and she will not allow it, after sitting behind the computer the entire time taking selfies and chatting on her personal phone she didnt bother to assist as i had to pick up drips of what shes saying in isizulu with regards to a sequence number i asked why didnt you ask me that you needed the sequence number? which i was given over the phone? Why communicate in zulu which i think is extremely rude considering the converstaion is about me, knowing im not a zulu speaker, i had then asked for the manager once again , who had come to the table and had a private discussion stating that i can no longer purchase as i do not have a GREEN BARCODED ID, i asked initially why go through this process of pure torture to change your mind in a split second, i asked if i should go to the vehicle and now get my ID document which is the smart ID card to my surprise i was told the smart ID does not apply i need my green barcoded ID! It all just didnt make sense as their were trying to cover up for each others pathetic service, i was so upset as i am a usual customer at woolies and if i was at first told i couldnt purchase without it i wouldve understood but this was so time consuming what a waste! I left all of my items and went to the westville branch which i made my purchases with pleasure and smiles.
I will never ever shop at Woolworths Musgrave and i wouldn't suggest to my family and friends to go there ever, the service is pathetic their unprofessional, *********, insensitive and have no product knowledge whatsoever.
