Morals, Ethics and Negligence
This company where I worked in Ballito, Lifestyle didn't really care about people's well being, mental state and risking peoples lives which they proved to me during COVID-19. What was most important was the management's budget and meeting-it. Exactly, a big company but so ********* behaviour even when asked or safely was posed to management. Manager doing self-screening before starting their shifts, staff driven 1.25hrs in the opposite direction towards Stanger before Tongaat, 1 Employee Repacking the entire Back House freezer while the other 2 are sent to the floor. What kind of people are put in senior positions one must ask? After all who am I, being a CSP under 2 years in the company to question a manager.. it would make me look disrespectful, hey! R100 000.00 stock can be basically thrown on the floor and all the management will do is just look to assist. Not showing very much concern, worry or care about what has happened to the stock or somewhat cautioning employees, it's just one of those things. Why, it's because they create their 'Waste' under 'Damages' for it to be purchased and resold by their staff in days to come. 5/7 packets a day standing in the queue wasting 20mins of company time but management couldn't care. First thing in the morning you get the administration manager running inside to book all 12 chickens. Yeah, that's Woolworths reality, I'm telling you from experience 2019 - 2022. Yeah, I even wrote to a senior Mr Arnold about how the company just uses, abuses and then throws people out.
While staff are wasting time on the main floor using their cellphones, with ladies flaunting themselves to seniors, the manager gets chartered thinking the work is all done. However, she pulled 'wool over the manager's eyes' with someone else working diligently and consistently to cover up their mess. That is what makes Woolworths, family. One maybe sleeping with the other but taking from another.
I experienced it first hand, therefore all that glitters is not gold, like you may think at Woolworths. The irony is that over the time I spent there, I noticed the best workers leaving the company which made me think and grasp as to why this was happening. However, many inconsistent employees were getting saved and truly being taken off in terms of shift allocations, their designated duties within departments, allocated easier tasks than others. To further prove this fact, even while my mother was in hospital with COVID and me being traumatic about the unknown, the manager will flaunt, take-up 20mins talking to a female while that employees stock is not rotated but 6:58hrs, 2mins before I finished my shift 9am - 7pm he wants me to go back on the floor. Why, to take advantage of my willingness, more interested in their budget, cover-up for someone else's work while he himself was wasting time during the day entertaining the female staff on his shop floor. So, Woolworths call themselves family because if you ****ing someone or kissing the managers ass, only to be taken for a ride over time you may not be considered as one of them.
Thought this **** wasn't going to hit fan Woolworths, Ballito Lifestyle. Well it's here to stink.
To date.. what has Woolworths done about their employees where negligence having cost him his life, Smanga and taking more actin around such mishaps. Nothing I'm sure, as that was just a walk in the freezer for the management, Woolworths - Ballito, Lifestyle with him setting-it for 3 Hrs straight not worrying about his health condition being an asmathic. They got employees like Darren Moodley, chatting up girls but calling them names, lying to others who's assisting him and in between chatting to his girlfriend on the other side of the Woolworths floor. What management does, only smiles cause they know what's going and who they maybe chatting with. However, as per policy cellphones should not be used on the shop floor, true!
That's the Woolworths, I Know. So don't be fooled.. cause many of them are 'All Face and Not Much Truth'
