Misleading advertising

I received an sms from Woolworths stating the following:

17 Dec only! WRewards, get 30% off any two pairs of Footwear and 30% off any 2 boxed chocolates, while stocks last.

I went to the Cavendish store, thinking I will purchase my kids school shoes as this is a big saving. At the till, the cashier advised me that she is not aware of it and called another lady who, without even looking at the message, just said. No it does not apply to school shoes.

The cashier was very apologetic. I feel this advertising was misleading as it clearly said ANY 2 pairs. Because of that message, i made a point of going to the mall yesterday.

I feel Woolworths should word these things properly, as it is very frustrating when you get to the till and have to hear a different story.
