Laybye Debacles

Woolworth Savanna Mall, Polokwane I went to the store on the 29th April wanting to redeem a laybye that i did in February with my younger sister using her ID as i did not have my ID that day. They turned me back saying the person that made the laybye must come and redeem it with their ID. The next day i called woolworth head office to enquire and they told me that i can redeem it without my sister but i need to call the store to find out which documents i can bring as they(head office) cannot confirm as stores differs. I called the store (savanna mall) and a aldy told me that i need to bring a copy of my sister ID, original receipt and my sister should right a letter giving me permission to redeem the laybye and she must sign it. I went back to the store on the 30th April with all the documentation that was required and a guy by the name Kori who is a manager said i cannot redeem it. I explained to him that i called the store and was told to bring this documents,he did not want to hear what i was explaining, its like he was not willing to assist me. I even showed him that i am the one that paid for the laybye and i showed him the card that i used which he verified but still he was not willing to assist. Even after i told him the laybye will expire in May and my sister is in Tzaneen and is unable to come to Polokwane for this. He then said its fine when it expires they will refund her, thats when i was shocked that he would rather make the store loose money because of his arrogance. I think woolworth whould take him to a customer management course or else they will loose money and customers because of him. There were people in the que and they were shocked that a whole woolworth doea not allow someone to take out laybye on behalf of someone. I mean all other stores allows it as long as they can verify that indeed the person sent you.
