Lay-bye system exclusionary

Hi,

I just left your Menlyn store very upset after I tried putting items on lay-bye only for my to be told I can’t because their system only takes debit cards. Telling why my Mastercard debit gold card was declining and I was told to go withdraw cash because that is the only way I could be helped? By the way this information is not on the promotional material displayed in store advertising the lay-bye option.

Why would a system in one of the largest mall in Africa is so exclusionary? Worse in a reputable store like yours? Now I must be forced to carry cash on me in order to transact in Woolworths?
