Kids clothing: poor quality and ****py service

A couple of weeks ago, I bought a pack of two kids' hats at Woolworths Randridge Mall. Unfortunately, we lost one of them - probably somewhere in the park. The second one needed a wash the other day and as the label states "machine washable at 40 degrees", that's what I did. Sadly, the hat came back a number of sizes smaller. So I try to exchange on Saturday but am told by the sales assistant, and later on by the manager, that I cannot return the hat without the second one that we lost. As I insisted, the store manager eventually calls headoffice. I overhear her convversation, in which she lies to headoffice saying that I am unhappy with the colour of the hat (it did become offcoloured after the wash, but I don't mind - my issue is the size that is now way too small to fit) and that I am unwilling to return the second hat when in fact I explained to her in detail that it was lost. After hanging up the phone, she grumpily informs me that they will have to "log" some sort of claim before I can exchange my hat. I am told that I will receive a call from Woolworths Randridge Mall on Monday, which was yesterday. As expected, nobody tried to contact me. So once again I will have to run after those people and waste my time and energy exchanging ****py products. This really is the very last time I've bought any kids' clothing items from Woolworths.
