Is Woolworths credit card promotion a ****?

Is Woolworths financial services running a ****?. Woolworths financial services called me with an offer of a Black Credit card with no initiation or monthly fees for 12 months. What was supposed to be a "5-10 minute process" took 30 minutes on the phone. Upon receiving the pre-contract for the phone, it clearly stipulated an initial fee of R150 and monthly fees. I followed this up via several emails and got no response. Telephonically they tell me that they will charge the monthly fee and then reverse it, but they cannot put this in writing for me. I am afraid I will have no proof on my side once I accept the card. This appears to be a **** for me, more-especially because Woolworths refuses to put it in writing. They are saying that they have telephone recordings - but that is what they have - what do I have as proof? An agreement stating that I will be charged initiation and monthly fees.
