Incorrect pricing on garments
Two weeks ago I purchased a clothing item from Woolworths Blue Route Mall. The item was priced at 450, I then changed my mind about the item and decided to return it to the store. When I attained at the store, the customer service consultant told me that the price has been reduced to R299, and that she could refund me on that as the ticket was not on the garment. I Informed her that it was not a sale item, she then searched for the product code of the label stitched on the garment. She then informed me that the factory had actually stitched the incorrect label on the garment.
I was furious, I couldn’t understand how could Woolworths allowed such thing to have happened. Is there no security or quality checks in place where these things are monitored. It’s really saddens me that such an iconic brand would allow for something like this happen.
I now will have doubt before I purchase something from this store as consumers won’t know if it’s the correct price they’re being charged for. I also feel bad for those customers who have no knowledge of this.
This is a serious issue!
