Incorrect outcome

I app**** for a Woolworth's credit card on the 9 Dec 2015 and they said it was approved for R17 000 and i asked if they cant make it R10 000 because i didnt want R17 000, they said no i'll have to monitor it myself. They said I should go the East Gate branch to collect the card When i get there I was told that its declined. The lady who was helping me said i should escalate this as they have never experienced something like this. That incident really inconvenienced me. I don't understand how can a company of this standard have such *********** or inaccurate financial checks and give incorrect outcomes.
