Ignoring POPI Act

Woolworths wants me to enter my ID number and wants my cell number when registering rewards card! Why do they need that, when I already share my email address. It's clearly that the POPI act in South Africa is a load of **** as almost if not all sites, stores etc asks your cell number, email and the the one thing I will definitely NOT share is my ID number. F**k them.
