Ignorance in retail is not bliss
Last week Thursday (22 January 2020), I went to Woolworths Forest Hill. I was trying to return a bra I bought in Witbank in November last year. The bra had been in the plastic my bag for a month and then in the boot (still in the woolies plastic). I admit I didnt check it when I returned it. But it had a tiny bit of dirt, probably from being in the boot. The ladies in the store assumed I wore it and returned it. I tried explaining that I tried it on twice. They compared it to a brand new bra that didn't have any creases on the padding, but surely if you try on a bra the padding will crease? And as I had tried to explain to them, it had been in my boot for a month. I'm disgusted with them implying I wore the bra when I didnt. If you have a policy that says things can be returned in 60 days, maybe you should reconsider for items like bras. If they had explained to me in a reasonable manner instead of assuming just because I'm black, I must have worn it. I'm just disgusted with their ignorance.
