If you really need groceries delivered, don't shop at Woolworths online
I sent my pensioner mom a parcel of groceries via a Woolworths online order. Five days later, more than half the order - including most of the key items she specifically asked me for - weren't delivered because they were "out of stock". I'm talking about items that are replenished by supermarkets almost daily.
So it takes 5 days for Woolworths to figure out they are out of stock; and/or manage this; and/or communicate about it?
It also annoys me that I took the trouble to provide feedback about it - noting at the same time that there was a glaring error on the website. Weeks later, a customer care consultant sent me a fluffy response which demonstrated she really hadn't app**** her mind to the feedback, and that Woolworths would not be using my feedback to improve customer care.
So I don't recommend using Woolworths online ordering, if you're trying to get something to your mom. If you do use them and have problems, don't waste your time providing feedback to them directly.
Behind the high-end branding and packaging is little customer care, and a serious lack of management oversight.
