I have never been so humiliated in my life before - Woolworths Food Lonehill

On Sunday 13 April 2025, I went to Woolworths Food Store in Lonehill to buy some few items. When I was about to pay for the items I had, I realized that need to add a bottle of wine from Woolworths Liquor store.

I told the cashier that was assisting me that I needed to add a bottle of wine from the Liquor store and she called a lady (Maria) to escort me to the Liquor store and I utilized my Woolworths Store Card to pay for the groceries and a bottle of wine in the Liquor store.

When I stepped out of the Liquor store I realized that I have omitted other items from the grocery store and I went back in the store again to pick up the additional items. When I was in the queue Maria came to me and told that I am not allowed to buy again and I asked the reason why and she rep**** and said she needs to see my identity document because I have already done so.

She ordered me to get my identity document and kept all my groceries underneath the site desk next to the main entrance. I went to fetch my identity document in the car and presented it to her. On my return she was with a gentleman by the name, Khulekani. I asked her to see the manager and she told me that Khulekani is her manager. I told her I have never experienced so much humiliation and victimization for the past 26 years I have been a customer at Woolworths. I told her that she is treating me like a ******** at my age. She said that she is following "standard procedure".

In the above circumstances I felt intimidated and disrespected.
