I did not ask for a limit increase
In January of 2014, I decreased my credit limit to R2000 and mentioned that in no uncertain terms should this be increased without my written consent. You can imagine my surprise when I realised in January of this year that they had increased my limit by 500% without me requesting this. I called financial services who told me that the system did it automatically and that I should write a letter and take it to the nearest store if I want it decreased. My question now is, why must I inconvenience myself, wasting money I do not have for taxi fare to take me to the nearest store? I did not ask for an increase and I want this limit removed immediately without incurring any unnecessary costs. This is a bad and *****ed practice of trying to get pensioners into debt by Woolworths.
