My dad received an sms from Woolworths to take a loan,to which he rep**** yes and after that he did not receive any feedback. Then he received a call from the Call centre quite sometime after sending the sms and stating he needs to make a payment for the loan taken.Needing clarification he went to the nearest Woolworths store, which he then spoke to a Manager regarding the Call he received, and after an investigation was done it was said that A loan was processed in his name and funds deposited into a standard bank account: 1. My father doesn't Have a standard bank account. 2.Standard Bank Gave Him proof stating it's not his account, which he handed to Woolworths. 3.My Father Did not receive any correspondence from Woolworths as in :no phone call following the sms to discuss the loan,no quotation,no request of documents, and no signed documents was forwarded by my father. It's unbelievable a big institute like Woolworths will process a loan without following the correct procedures. My Dad Being A pensioner using public transport, has been to Woolworths on numerous occasions to sort out these issues due to harassments from the Callcentres .He Has Handed Documents To Woolworths As they Requested ,an affidavit saying that it's not his account and that he did not receive the funds. It's Gone Almost two years this is going and nothing has been done to sort it out.It Has Become time consuming and costly on my father's side. So now we would like to know what else can we do to sort this out.
