Green on money making

Problem when shopoing in food department. When you get to till no plastic bags on offer to buy, if you did not bring a bag you are forced to buy a expensive bag of R6.60. All over are plastic bags for chicken, for clothing. Apparently they are going green. Could have fooled me Why dont they offer brown paper bags to buy then. Do you have to carry you food in your hands to the car or is it really a moneymaking raket once again under the name og GREEN.
