Funds Deducted on Goods not Delivered

I have been a faithful customer of Woolworths for a long time and was among the first to use their online services and advocated it to everyone I know but in the last two years they have really done apparently everything they can to alienate that loyalty.

Overlooking the ten score bad experiences I've had with regards to items not in stock, deliveries not happening as scheduled, the online store not working as it should. What stands out most is what happened earlier this year.

After messing up two of my orders, making me lose out on a sale order that I was greatly looking forward to and then also not delivery a food order when I ordered it - then putting it through TWO WEEKS LATER, I told them that I no longer wanted it. They compensated me for my loss on the sales items I would have bought by offering me a voucher, which appeased me at that moment at least. But here is the joke - they proceeded to deduct an amount from my account for the cancelled food order that was more than the voucher. After speaking to the store and the head office on more than one occasion, sending through several emails and complaints - they still - SIX MONTHS LATER - have not refunded me for the food order that was cancelled. So in a nutshell - I lost out on over R3000 worth of merchandise I loved, I had to host a party with none of the food that I ordered due to being short on time (which was not delivered) and then had over R600 basically ****** from my account. What annoys me the most is that on two occasions they absolutely assured me that the money would be reversed - and it still has not been.

In a competitive world where most are offering excellent online service and free delivery when you buy over a certain amount I would have to say don't use them unless you have to.
